This existing store in Echuca was built in 2010. Due to the increased number of customers over the years, we were tasked with creating a new car park separate to the existing and a secondary entry point into the ALDI store.
We provided an number of different design options to enable our client to make an informed decision. We undertook a site inspection to determine the various constraints of the existing site conditions and provided recommendations for our client. The final design involved forming a new raised forecourt and airlock entry with a 41 space car park including two new crossovers for access. The existing store canopy was extended over the new forecourt to provide shading and protection from weather. The internal layout of the store was also updated to incorporate self check out registers and relocated of freezers to meet ALDI’s new layout standards.
The project has resulted in a great outcome for our client. The additional car parking makes ALDI a more desirable destination for customers, knowing that queuing and access to the store during busy times is now much easier.
