As part of the evolution and growth of Islamic Al Taqwa College, an expansion was required to included a sporting gymnasium and assembly area that could accommodate the whole school. The space was designed to reflect the virtues and culture of the College and the local Islamic Community as well as establishing a close bond with the broader community.
Select’s role was to develop a preliminary design for the facility while co-ordinating input from a diverse group of stakeholders and a consultant team.
Managing the complexities of an established site, along with ensuring a coherent master plan for the College was central to our approach.
The project delivers a place of significance and pride for the College, which is now an integral place for students, teachers and the broader community. Select’s continued engagement with Al-Taqwa College is testimony to the close and successful partnership.
