Located in Waurn Ponds, the client sought a contemporary design for their radius imaging centre to reflect the cutting-edge diagnostic technology the building contains.
Careful collaboration between the equipment suppliers, Select Architects and other specialist consultants was required to ensure each room is constructed in a safe and compliant manner. The thickness and material composition of each wall is considered and different depending on its proximity to various equipment and radiation types.
The highly contemporary design supports the social, cultural, economic and environmental wellbeing of the local communities. Complementing the adjoining medical centre, we designed the site enabling access flow and solved potential flooding issues.
