Formally the home of Geelong Football Club’s longest serving President (Jack Jenning), “Jack’s Place” celebrates views over the historical Botanic Gardens and is 200m from Geelong’s Waterfront. The client required a new state of the art home which celebrates its historical roots, with city views and respect to its neighboring Victorian styled residences.
Cognisant of the surrounding Victorian House, the design sought to be respectful of the scale and grain of these properties while creating a striking open and free-flowing home for the couple approaching retirement. The prominent site required careful design and sightlines to and from the adjacent botanical gardens, bay and city.
The clients were grateful, not only for the striking and sensitive design of their home, but also by the seamless and stress-free approach delivered by Select Architects.
Testimonial from the client:
“The team at Select could not be faulted for their creative free thinking which has delivered an exceptional ‘home’ for my wife and I into retirement.”
