The 800m² two storey building was originally designed by an Australian Architect in 1988 to represent the cultural heritage of the Jardwadjali and Diab Wurrung Aboriginal communities of South-Western Victoria.  Select was appointed to evaluate maintenance work which resulted in a refurbishment of the building and an extension for additional administration offices.

The unique design of the building incorporated the use of local sandstone, natural timbers and a striking curved winged roof profile. The organic expression of the building was maintained with a subtle refurbishment and sympathetic extension that maintains the integrity of the original design.
