To cater for the increasing problem of homeless men, Samaritan House required additional 8 units with supporting services to enable them to retain dignity and connection to the wider community.
Supporting services included:
• A laundry for hygiene
• Email access to retain family connections
In developing the design for the community initiative, the Select Group Architect’s took on board the lifestyle of homeless men and developed a low cost of construction, robust, low maintenance facility of 8 units, with a communal lounge kitchen dining area and passive security for the volunteers.
